The Turbo Microfiber Mop Floor Cleaning System is a three-in-one tool that dusts, sweeps, and mops surfaces. While most would use it exclusively on their floors, I’d like to make the case for using it on a surface that’s often neglected: walls. In my dust-ridden home, I’ve noticed subtle specks and the occasional spider web on my walls and baseboards—but I had no idea just how much debris was stuck on them until I used the mop. To buy: $32 with coupon (was $50), amazon.com It comes with four replaceable and machine-washable mop heads: two microfiber pads for regular dusting, sweeping, and mopping, and two scrubbing pads for spot-cleaning tough stains. Both pads can be used wet or dry depending on your needs. I like using the microfiber pad with a hard floor cleaner to efficiently grab dirt and pet hair from my floors. The 360-degree rotating mop head makes it easy to sweep underneath furniture and appliances that my Swiffer wet jet struggles to reach. One drawback of the mop is that it can be difficult to steer. The aluminum telescoping handle extends and collapses to accomplish any job, and while it’s difficult to tighten in place, as I used it more it became easier to operate. Cleaning my walls and baseboards was even simpler. I used the soft microfiber pads to dust the walls from floor to ceiling. The pads were gentle on the walls, yet tough on debris—when I was finished, the pad was covered in dirt and spider webs. It was easy to rotate around picture frames, wall hooks, and door frames, and the mop stayed in position as I scrubbed the baseboards. And thanks to the extendable handle, I didn’t even have to reach for a ladder to clean my 12-foot walls.
